After a great start to our 2025 gig season, the band is taking a break. I know, it seems like we just got started, but we have a really good reason. Tallon, our awesome drummer, just had a baby! We thought the baby would arrive in early-to-mid April, but Tallon's little boy decided he couldn't wait and popped out almost 6 weeks early. We still had a couple gigs on the books, and rather than cancel them, family jumped in to help out & now we are about 3 weeks into our planned 12-week break.
Darren & I are relaxing, sort of, and trying to get rested up during our break. When I say, “sort of,” it's because we are both using the time to dive into a ton of other things. Darren's main gig is as guitarist for Beyond Threshold, and they are trying to finish up a new album, plus they're going to rock a few festivals this summer, so he's up to his eyes in that.
I've got a couple short trips coming up for family stuff, plus I'm trying to get back on track with my “Relaxing Guitar” YouTube channel, as well as my main YouTube channel. Then there's a long list of projects around the house, setting up the rest of the shows for this year, knocking out some social media content, editing a few videos of live stuff, updating this website, entertaining a small herd of cats, preparing & photographing a bunch of music gear that I'm selling, designing new t-shirts, updating the online store, and finding a little time to practice guitar. Oh yeah - and do a little recording and songwriting. But other than that, I'm chilling out while we're on our break.
I hope you all are having an awesome spring. I'll talk to you again soon. Until then, live well & rock hard!
